Welcome to Brittani Louise Photography!

My passion for photography has turned into a few fun children's portrait sessions here and there!  Here you will find the latest on my most recent portrait sessions, as well as a peek into my personal life. Thanks for visiting!   Don't forget to leave a comment and let me know you stopped by!

My apologies.

I apologize for the lack of posts this week!  I have so much to share with you all and such little time for posting.  Corey is home this week so we are able to do “normal” (whatever that is!) married things in the evening like cook dinner and relax!  I promise to post my last few sessions later this week so be sure to check back!

In the mean time, I will leave you with one of my FAVORITE websites!  I know a lot of you have already shopped here before but just in case you haven’t heard of it check out http://www.etsy.com/!! This is a website where people can create just about anything and sell it.  There is everything from handmade jewelry, clothes, accessories, camera accessories, etc!  Enjoy!

Our NEW President!

More than anything I am glad that this election process is finally over with!  I am excited that a decision has been made and looking forward to the future.  In case you didn’t see this….check it out!  Whether or not you are a fan of Barak Obama, his speech was incredible.  Happy Wednesday!

Quilt Show!!

I spent yesterday with some buddies at the George R. Brown Convention Center checking out my first quilt show!  I am not an expert quilter by any means but it is definitely something that interests me.  I have helped make one baby quilt with a friend.  After yesterday I am inspired to continue pursuing this hobby.  I am teaching myself to night to embroider so I’ll keep you posted on the progress.  Here are some pics from our day-o-fun!

New and Improved!

Well here is what I’ve been waiting to show you!  My new and improved website!  Now you can use www.brittanilouise.com and it will lead you right here!  I will be adding a lot of helpful pages so be sure to check back!  I would like to send a special thanks to Jessica Weiser for working so hard on my new site!  She not only designed it from scratch but also was talented enough to get it up and running!

Along with my new site, I have a new client to share with you!  Meet Brenna!  She is Isaac’s new little sister!  I just love this family for many reasons, but one is that they have beautiful children!  She was the tiniest thing I have ever seen and I just love spending time her!  I got to enjoy evenings with her right after Katie delivered so that Dad could spend the evenings with Isaac.  I am really looking forward to our next session!

Sweet baby girl!

I loved playing with Brenna and my new basket!

Such a beautiful family!

Sweet baby girl in Daddy’s arms!

So tiny!

I can’t believe this guy is 1 year old!

Zane & Tab

While Corey and I were in Germany, I had the opportunity to do a session with two of my nephews, Zane and Tab. They are so much fun and we really enjoyed spending time with them. I love seeing how God continues to mold their personalities over time. Thanks for hanging out with your “Auntie” Britt and Uncle Corey!

This was all Tab’s idea - so creative!

Zane’s serious side. :)

The many faces of Tab!

One of my favorites of Zane! Silly guy!

They have really fun parks in Germany! This was such a fun contraption!

Boys will be boys!

Love you guys and miss you!

Europe fotos!

Well here they are!  The pictures you have all been waiting 2 months to see!  I have a lot of favorites so beware that this is a long post.  The photographs are a mix between our point-and-shoot and our SLR. I have also included the link with all of the images for your viewing!

We started out our vacation in Germany visiting my brother and his family.  They have been living there for a little over a year now is a small town near Heidelberg.  (I know my geography isn’t that great!)  Then after a week of fun we left and took a night train to Rome.  We spent 2 days in Rome and then headed to Siena.  This was my favorite stop in Italy!  I would have loved to have spent the rest of our time there.  From there we headed to Florence on a short bus ride and our last stop in Italy was Venice.  Now this wasn’t our most favorite stop - it could have been because we were tired…we’re not really sure.  Then we headed back to Germany for a day before heading home.  We loved every minute about this vacation and hope you enjoy the pictures!

One of my favorite pictures of Corey! This is while he was waiting for me outside of the Vatican to stop taking pictures!

I have an obsession with doors!

The lively nightlife in Rome - We took Rick Steve’s recommended night tour - Loved it!

The streets of Siena.

The flags in Siena for the Palio.

A quaint paper shop.

It’s almost gone!

The view from our hotel in Rome!

This was my favorite stop in Italy…Siena! This hotel was like something out of a movie! Everyone was so kind and there were fun animals, amazing breakfast, and a beautiful view. Complete relaxation!

Venice again!

My favorite meal!

We thought of Blitz when we saw this!

Corey decided to make some friends in Venice!

Here is the link to the remainder of the photographs! While we were in Germany I did a quick session with our two nephews! Check back soon for their sneak peek!

Finally!

I apologize for such a delay in my posts!  Things have been a little crazy after we returned from Europe.  I began my 4th year of teaching the day after our return and we were recently hit by Hurricane Ike as most of you know.  My power was fortunately restored today and I will begin posting regularly again!  I will back up a few weeks so that you can see what we’ve been up to!  Here is a picture to hold you over until my next post.  It is the details in the floor of St. Peter’s in Rome.  Enjoy! :)

Judd

Last weekend Corey and I spent the morning with some old family friends of his in Downtown Houston. Here is a small preview of our time together. They have such a beautiful family and their precious 8 month old, Judd, was such a joy to spend time with!

With that we are off to Europe until the 16th! I’m sure I’ll have tons of pictures to share!

Such a beautiful family!

So curious!

Isaac - part 2

Mommy and Isaac joined me on Friday morning for part 2 of his 6 month session at my home. We enjoyed a relaxing morning of playing outside and in the kitchen. He made all kinds of discoveries! He learned that he could see his reflection in all my black kitchen appliances and learned that if you bang two dog bowls (empty) together that they make a loud sound. What a great time we had! Enjoy!!

So fascinated by this fan!

Good times in the bucket!

Watching nature. One of my favorites!

The many precious faces of Isaac!

Disco Triathlon

Corey (husband), Thomas (brother-in-law), and their friends BJ and Tyler participated in a Disco Triathlon last month in Dallas.  It was a disco themed event and although the boys didn’t dress up, there were others that were quite festive.  I really enjoyed following them around with my point and shoot during this event and being a cheerleader!  I’m sad to miss their next one in August! :(

Thanks for all of your support and concern for my recent decision to take a break from photography.  I have had a few recent sessions that were already scheduled that I will be posting soon so check back!
