Isaac - 9 months!

I spent last Monday morning working out down in Old Town Springs chasing Mr. Isaac for his 9 month photo session!  He was accompanied by Mom and his Grandma, Grandpa, and Aunt visiting him from Wisconsin.  We had a great morning!  He was fascinated by anything and everything and it was all primarily located on the ground below him.  He is one fast crawler so we were chasing quite a bit!  But boy was he worth it!  He has been such a treat to watch grow up and is changing so quickly!  His “big boy” hair has grown in and his eyes are simply breath-taking!  Watch out ladies!  We will be getting together soon to continue part 2 of his 9 month session in which I have a whole new set of tricks up my sleeve!  Enjoy!

Hardwood Floors

Corey and I finally broke down and decided to put hardwood floors in the living area and hallway of our house. This has been an experience because he travels all week so I am here handling things the best I can! They came yesterday and ripped all the carpet out and floated the floors. They have since returned today to begin laying the hardwood and I am so pleased! Corey has been begging to see the progress so here it is! Keep in mind that these were taken with my point and shoot and are right out of the camera - not my best work! I’ll post more pictures upon completion!

In other news, there will be some fun changes going on here in the next couple of weeks so stay tuned!

Fun Friday!

What was supposed to be a relaxing and low-key Friday got off to an adventurous start! It all began this morning when I went for my morning run. As I was running, I realized I was being chased by two dogs - little guys, so there were no worries. Instead of running from them, I stopped and made friends. They were so dirty but SO sweet! I realized that one of them had a tag so I tricked him into letting me pick him up and carry him home. The other dog decided to tag along and kept jumping and nipping at the other dog trying to get him to come down and play. I don’t believe they were from the same home but they were the best of friends. They reminded me of two single guys roaming the town together. I carried Sammy all the way home and got them to come inside the garage. I gave them some water and food and tried to call the phone number. Unfortunately, it was no longer a working number, so I was waiting for Corey to finish working so we could go look for the address on the tag. I decided to put them in the backyard where it would be cooler and then came inside to get my camera to take some fun pictures of them. When I returned…they were gone. :(  We drove around to look but could not find them. Sammy was so sweet and just wanted to go home and the other dog was definitely looking for a good time. I am just hoping that someone else has taken them home because I’ve been worried about them all morning. Either way, I definitely made some new friends!

In other news, I have been working on a series of different collages for a client and wanted to share! I hope everyone is have an enjoyable Friday!

Scout - 3 months

One of my very favorite things about photographing children is watching them grow and change - it happens so quickly! It is such a privledge to capture them as they are now for the future memories of their families to treasure.

I photographed Scout 3 months ago as a newborn and she has changed so much! Her personality has really started to blossom and I get excited just thinking about how much she will continue to grow and change as times goes on. She was so laid-back and such a happy baby. She has definitely mastered one skill inparticular very well - the art of spitting up on her Mom and Dad. We had a few “wardrobe” changes due to this new found talent but Mom and Dad were so easy going and are so in love with everything about her! We will see you guys again in a few months and enjoy your preview!

A few of my favorite detail shots….loving my new lens!

My favorite shot of the whole day!

Love the way they love!

Curious eyes.

Love this room and the way Dad is so helpful!

Joey & Shelly

A few weeks ago I had the opportunity to photograph Joey and Shelly. They are not only our great friends but also our neighbors. We met almost 2 1/2 years ago when we were building in the same neighborhood and they were checking out our unfinished house. We had a wonderful afternoon at Market Street and then enjoyed our favorite dinner together, Mexican food!   The four of us get together we enjoy Mexican food! They will be getting married on June 28th in Cypress. Thanks for spending the day with us!

Los Angeles

Two weeks ago I traveled to sunny LA to visit Corey at work. He is currently working on a project for Nestle in LA and Ohio. I had never been to the West Coast before so it was really a treat! Corey surprised me with a lot of my favorite things in the hotel! Then we took an adventure to Universal Studios! What a blast! Our favorite part was the studio tour. We got to ride through Universal Studios and check out all of the famous movie sets. Unfortunately a portion of the sets at Universal Studios burned this week - I’m glad we were able to check it out when we did! That night we drove down to Santa Monica to stay the night. We ventured out to the Santa Monica Pier and Third Street Promenade. Our last day there we laid out at the beach and drove around to checked out Rodeo Drive, the Chinese Theatre, Hollywood homes, and the famous Beverly Wilshire hotel! (From the movie Pretty Woman) It was such a relaxing trip with my favorite! I can’t wait to go back!
Fun streets!

Funky shops!

Animal actors at Universal Studios!

Gabrielle’s house on Wisteria Lane!

In front of the Hard Rock Cafe in Universal Studios!
