ardoin family : spring newborn portrait photographer

Most of you know that I am a first grade teacher and I absolutely love it!  This year my school welcomed a new Assistant Principal and we fell in love with her!  Shortly into the year we were told that she was expecting and I was flattered when she asked us to photograph Heath for his newborn photos! Mom and Dad were totally open to all of our ideas and willing to experiment! I love that!

This was probably the best newborn session thus far due to the fact that he slept the ENTIRE session without clothes and he did not use the restroom on anyone or anything.  I was amazed!  Now we have had several things “christened” during newborn shoots and this does not bother us one bit but often new parents are worried about this when we starting taking the layers of clothes off.  My advice is to just do it because you will love the photos of their bare skin and will truly treasure them!

Enjoy the sneak peek!

Meet the big sister!

Kudos to my wonderful husband for taking this photo! He did a great job!

Love this! She is a great big sister!

graham family : houston maternity portrait photographer

I have had so many clients ask me how I work around the summer heat and although it is still hot I have tried to schedule summer sessions either extra early or later in the evening.  Last Tuesday my Garmin and I ventured to meet the Graham family!   We met up bright and early at their beautiful home and then had fun at a local park.

Although we just met, it was very evident that these two are very in love.  Clay was one of the most attentive and loving husbands I’ve ever met.  It was so special to watch them interact.  They are expecting their first child the beginning of July and I can’t wait to meet their new little princess.

This session embodies what I hope to encompass in every session.  It is a little edgy, bright colors, full of love, and fun!  I love that they were so open to trying all of my ideas!

I hope that you enjoy your sneek peek!

My favorite!

I will admit that I’ve been teased by the amount of photos I take of this baby boy but I just can’t get enough of him!  I love his parents so much and we could not be more blessed to have them in our lives.  These photos were taken when Jack was a ripe 3 weeks old and since then he has celebrated his 1 month birthday!  Time has definitely flown by!  Enjoy the sneak peek!

Beautiful baby blue eyes!

I love capturing a genuine laugh!

He is getting so long!

We can’t forget Gracie who supervised the entire session from the top of her favorite chair!

the perthuis family : houston family portrait photographer

I have known Brandon (Dad) since we were in elementary school!  Our families spent many afternoons playing together outside, in the ditches, or just hanging out!  I love what I do because very often it gives me the opportunity to reconnect with old friends!  Since I’ve seen him last, he has found a beautiful wife and they’ve had a precious little boy!  We had a fun and very warm morning at Hermann Park!  This was an awesome location and I look forward to revisiting it.  Chase was all smiles and knew exactly what to do in front of a camera!  He loved the train that ran through the park and we spent a lot of our morning hunting it down!  You all were such troopers and we really enjoyed catching up!

Chase was definitely fascinated by the ducks!

Looking hard for the train!

the kalbas : houston family portrait photographer

We traveled to Hillsboro a few weeks ago to photograph the Kalbas.  Corey has a long list of “hometowns” and Hillsboro is definitely on it.  The Kalbas have been family friends with the Olivers for quite some time so it was great to finally meet them!

We had such a fun Saturday morning playing in Grandma’s backyard - swinging and playing with the flowers.  Their two little ones are absolutely precious and I can’t wait to photograph them again when they move to the area!! We also took a few of just Mom and Dad! This is so fun because like most growing families, they haven’t had photos of the two of them since their wedding!

They have waited so patiently for their sneak peek because our session was the weekend before the last week of school.  If you’re a teacher then can definitely understand what the last week of school is like! I’ll warn you ahead of time that there are a lot of favorites! ENJOY!

Corey and I have this silly thing that we do when the other one is in trouble. We stick out our hand and that means that we need a spat because we’ve done something wrong. I know that you are wondering why I am sharing this but it is because I deserve a spat. I haven’t been a very good blogger lately and because school is finally out I PROMISE to post more often! Consider this my apology!

Now on to our sneak peek!

This family has so many characteristics that we strive for in a family some day. They are carefree and genuinely have so much fun together! I had the pleasure of teaching Nick this year in my class and I have also gotten to know the whole gang because Mom served as our class room mom. I couldn’t have survived the year with out either of my wonderful room moms!

We enjoyed the morning in their backyard playing with toys, swinging, and laughing a lot! We enjoyed watching them all interact. They have such a playful nature and Mom is such a good sport because they love to pick on her! Enjoy!

the mullers : the woodlands family portrait photographer

As most of you know, I teach first grade and love it!  This just happens to be one of the most hectic times of the year but I have two INCREDIBLE room moms who have made this year so wonderful!  I have had the opportunity recently to photograph both of their families.  You’ll have to bear with me because I am a little biased!  When you spend 9 months with these children you come to love them so much, almost as if they were your own!  There are quite a few favorites!  Enjoy!

Sean’s famous face!

Finally, Mom and Dad couldn’t remember the last time they had portraits taken together with just the two of them! Here are a few of my favorites!

Thank you all for your patience during this crazy time of year! I promise that if you are awaiting your proofs or prints, they are coming your way soon! Two more days of school!!
